Ruby is six weeks shy of a year and though she has a few pokin' through, I would have to call her "Ol' Scraggle Tooth" at best. It's amazing because she can't really eat solid food and weird because Owen skipped baby food and went right to steak and eggs. ??!!
omg lol..congrats..... I agree with superstar there...
you were lucky..I didn't mind when my son got his very first tooth (on top) at 3 months old but when the second one came in (and on the bottom) ...OUCH !!! breastfeeding went out the window after having been bitten once too many times by him ... I remember calling my doctor in tears saying the baby was hungry and I was literally afraid to put it in his mouth he had bitten so hard so many times already. We quickly went to bottle !!!!
nikki... ok i know i sound like ignoramous here, but does that mean he got his first tooth??? I feel like a proud aunt who's not sure what she's proud of but just so dang proud!!! Happy cutting first tooth, Connor!!!!
Congrats on the tooth... How about for your practical joke??? making a fake dog tail(wee bit of ketchup and you looking freaked out would do the trick) and pretending that Connor bit off your dog's tail??? Teething and all...
YAY! I totally know how you feel -- Julia was ten months before she cut her first tooth, and SIXTEEN months before she started walking. I was all like, STOP THE FUCKIN' PRESSES! when she cut her first tooth and took her first steps.
Son#3 got his 1st when he was 6 mos old. Two days later, it was gone! Broke right off. The dentist thinks he might have damaged it b/4 it cut through - bumped it maybe. Once the teensy bit that was left came through gum the dentist did a pulpectomy (mini-root canal) and put a cap on it. Seems like a lot of fuss for a baby tooth, but Son#3 was great. He's 4 & still has the cap. The rest of his teeth are fine, but the capped one is a tad loose and the xray shows the permanent tooth may come earlier than the others. Funny how the body works.
Somehow I knew my son was going to be a hockey player (you should see him scoot around that inline hockey rink!) so when he was toothless I would look at him and say "That's okay. Hockey players don't need teeth."
Glad the little one is on his way to being Donnie Osmond, lol.
I don't know about you, but when Lauren was a toddler and felt like I was ignoring her, she would come up and innocently lay her head on my lap, then turn her face slightly and bite the shit out of my thigh. Then she would plop on her little butt and laugh when I yelped in pain.

May the biting commence!
I just couldn't spank my then 14-month old. I would get in her face and yell no, but it didn't change anything.
But when she was 2, the beatings commenced. ;) Fortunately, she's a really good kid and has always listened well.
Her little sister, on the other hand... grrrrrr.
Nice colors. Keep up the good work. thnx!
